The VHP Diagnostic
Who do you think you are?
Who do you say you are?
Who are you, really?
There is the person you imagine yourself to be: the self-concept built over years of achievement, identity and quiet assumption. There is the person you present to the world: the values you declare, the leader you describe, the professional you perform. And then there is the person your week actually reveals: where your time goes, how present you are inside it, and how far the life you're living sits from the life you say you want.
For most high-performing professionals, these three are not the same. The gap between them is where performance quietly erodes, not through incompetence, but through accumulated distance from self.
This diagnostic maps that gap. It will not tell you what you want to hear. It will show you what is actually there.
Who you think you are
The self-image. The story you've carried long enough to stop questioning it.
Who you say you are
Your stated values. What you claim to prioritise when someone asks.
Who you really are
What your time reveals: where it goes and how present you are inside it.
Five steps
- Time. Map your day or week across seven categories of life.
- Presence. Rate how present you actually are in each thing you do.
- Domains. See what your time actually feeds: physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual.
- Values. Test whether your stated values show up in how you live.
- Ideal. Set the week you want, then see the distance from the one you have.
Your data stays with you. Nothing you enter here is transmitted or seen by anyone. Your answers are saved in this browser only, so you can close the page and pick up where you left off. At the end you can save your results as a PDF, and you'll have the option to send a summary to Matthew. A conversation costs nothing.
The honesty of what you put in determines the value of what comes out.
Choose your depth
Step 1 of 5 · Time
Where does your time go?
What the categories mean
Your time in numbers
Step 2 of 5 · Presence
How present are you?
Presence is your attention being where your body is. Responding to what's in front of you, as opposed to reacting to it, rehearsing tomorrow's meeting or half-reading your phone. It isn't how much you enjoy something. You can be fully present in a hard conversation and absent from a holiday.
Step 3 of 5 · Domains
What does your time feed?
Step 4 of 5 · Values
Are you aligned?
Enter up to six values that genuinely matter to you. Not the ones that sound impressive. Yours. The things you would defend, and would feel compromised without.
A value here is a direction you choose to move in, not a goal you finish. You never complete "family" or "courage". You only act towards them or away from them.
For example: integrity, family, excellence, courage, growth, service, honesty, freedom, loyalty.
Step 5 of 5 · Ideal
What would you change?
This isn't about being realistic. It's about being honest with yourself.
Time by category
What this would mean for your domains
Each category's ideal hours are split across the domains the same way you split its activities in Step 3. Where a category has no time in your week yet, we assume Growth feeds intellectual, Connection and Caring feed emotional, and Self feeds physical. Each card shows where its hours come from, and it updates as you move the sliders.

This gap doesn't close on its own.
If what this surfaced felt true, the next step is a conversation. No pitch, no pressure. A look at what the data shows and whether there's work worth doing.
